'American Idol' host Ryan Seacrest has donated his fee for the charity special 'Idol Gives Back' to the charity fund.
According to People magazine, a source said that Seacrest wanted to show viewers that he was very serious about the cause.
The source said: "When he and Simon went to Africa last year and saw the children, it was really life-altering for him."
"He just knew he had to do his part and be willing to put his money where his mouth is."
'Idol Gives Back' is due to air in the US this Wednesday.
